We will be bringing you information on equipment,
techniques, applications and system accessories,
covering all aspects of high speed imaging and motion
analysis.
| Packaging industry has problem wrapped up |

"Since purchasing a MotionPro system from Lake Image
Systems, it has been in regular use for two main
purposes.
Our sugar packets are formed at 130 per minute.
Spotting a fault is impossible; the action just looks like
a total blur. Using the MotionPro allows us to see
problem areas in great detail, enabling our technicians
to pinpoint the cause, take out the guesswork, and
rectify the problem in a fraction of the time. After
making adjustments, another video is recorded, and
measuring the improvement is easy.
The second main application involves filming correctly
working machines, mainly after the manufacturers'
technician has expertly set up it up. By keeping a
reference file of the critical areas, the machine can be
reset to optimum performance whenever necessary.
The same sequences are also invaluable for training
purposes."

... and not much heat!
Tungsten lighting is used by the majority of high speed
camera users. Often this is due to the user not being
aware of the pros and cons of other light sources.
Metal Halide (HMI) lighting offers two significant
advantages over most other forms of lighting: daylight
colour, and higher light output; increasing the quality of
the images achieved, and thus enhancing the quality of
your research data!
All colour CCD and CMOS sensors perform best using
daylight coloured light. Corrections for other hues of
light are a compromise, and often important image data
may not be detected in the results. This combined with
the high intensity & low heat output creat the ideal
light source for heat sensitive and colour sensitive
applications.

| Lake Image Systems supports BASES |
 |
Lake Image Systems will be exhibiting at the British
Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences' conference
at Sheffield & Sheffield Hallam Universities.
This exciting three day conference (4 to 6 September),
involves keynote speakers of international standing,
and an equipment exhibition including the latest
biomechanics analysis tools.
If you are in the biomechanics field, whether for sports
or medical purposes, this conference is for you.

| NEW 1.7 megapixel camera launched |
 |
|
1.7 Mega-pixels at 1000 frames per second. This is the
new HG-100K, which is defining the new level of
expectation. With a top rate of 100,000fps and a
minimum exposure time of 1 micro-second, the camera
has unsurpassed image quality and versatility.
Add to this 1Gb Ethernet networking and 100G shock
resistance, and you can see why the HG-100K can
cope with the most demanding of applications.
