  • AOS Cameras - an overview

The high speed camera range from AOS all incorporate...

    • Compact, robust housing, just 71x71x121mm
    • Built in rechargable battery pack
    • Gigabit Ethernet interface
    • Live image while recording

With various options, like the CF+ extension slot, additions like WLAN networking, IRIG etc become a reality. Being of a modular design, the cameras are easily upgradable.

Unique to the AOS high speed cameras, the selectable dynamic range (5-bit, 8-bit or 10-bit) allows either the highest quality image or the longest record time to be selected.

In their simplest configuration, the camera plugs directly into your laptop for setting up, and the only cable that needs to be connected during filming is a trigger signal.

    The AOS Camera Range

X-PRI. Entry level camera. Up to 1000 fps at 800x600 pixels. Very cost effective, making networks affordable. Suitable for production line fault finding, biomechanics research, animal motion studies.

X-MOTION. X- MOTION gives its user the best in performance and size! X-MOTION is the ideal high speed camera for automotive off-board applications, as well as for all applications in research, development, installation, troubleshooting, sports etc.

X-VIT. The X-VIT high speed camera is specifically designed for the vehicle impact test market. Like the highly successful VITcam, it offers outstanding performance in the most compact enclosure possible.

X-EMA. Whenever the environment of your application is beyond the normal (shocks, vibration, temperature etc.),
X-EMA is your camera. Especially made for such applications, the ability to operate at -40 to +80 C and the robust all-aluminium housing make the use of this high speed camera possible where others fail. Full MIL-Spec 810 certification is held by the X-EMA.

    Imaging Studio Software
    AOS_Logo

Imaging Studio Software is supplied with all AOS cameras (Imaging Studio Lite with X-PRI). Able to effectively control multiple cameras via the Gigabit Ethernet interface, functions often treated as specialised are included as standard, such as auto- download/ re-arming and segmented memory.

When it comes to edit, cut or analyse high speed camera sequences, our Imaging Studio offers comprehensive and unique features. After the recording it is often important to have first line analysis on the spot. Here Imaging Studio offers all you need. Some of the key features are:

    • Play back of high speed camera sequences at various speeds
    • Various Zoom functions (e.g. magnifying glass)
    • Cut and edit sequences
    • Rotate/flip sequences
    • Convert existing sequences into other formats such as MPEG, AVI, JPEG, BMP etc.
    • Unique: If the sequence is too large the built in file splitter allows splitting long sequences into smaller sub-sequences to fit on a Data-CD. The same function allows to re-combine the split sequences
    • Image processing to color balance and filter single images and sequences
    • Tracking: Simple manual tracking of points and measurement functions are included.

    Ex-Demonstration Cameras

    There are still some
    ex- demonstration cameras
    available for sale at
    attractive prices.
