Happy New Year to all of you, and best wishes for 2008
At the start of a new year, new resolutions are being
made. If you
work in a factory, how about "Light it, Find it, Fix it."?
Following these 3 easy steps will improve the quality,
reduce waste, and inclrease the productivity and
profits of your production facility
| 1. LIGHT IT - Make sure your vision system sees the defect |
 |
Lighting has always been
recognised as one of
the
most critical aspects of any vision application. Many
applications proven in the lab fail when implemented
in the field. This is often due to inconsistencies in the
surface of the part being inspected, drift and variation
in the light source used, or ambient lighting
conditions.
The light source is often over-
looked during the
system specifying process, however, it is often the key
element in the success of a vision or imaging
project.
This example clearly shows that the
wrong lighting would make the machine vision have to
work extremely hard to identify the cans code if a spot
light was used. Optimising the lighting makes the task
more straightforward for your machine vision
system.
|
| 2. FIND IT - Ensure you reject the defective product by using the best machine vision system for your application |
 |
IMPACT is a family of high-
performance, easy to
use
intelligent camera products from PPT Vision.
The IMPACT product line
encompasses both
hardware and software, covering a wide range of
performance and price point requirements. The
strongest & most comprehensive hardware offering
on the market. The same software runs on all
cameras, covering the complete range of vision
applications.
The IMPACT ranges from the IMPACT 'A',
the most economical intelligent camera on the market
to the IMPACT 'C', highest performing, state-of-the-art
intelligent cameras with a digital interface.
The IMPACT software too has simple to
set up, cost effective, and extremely powerful,
comprehensive versions. Whether you have a
straightforward application or need to network multpile
systems looking for multiple possible defects, the is
an IMPACT system perfect for your facility.
|
| 3. FIX IT - Analyse the manufacture of faulty product in slow motion to solve machinery problems |
 |
Modern production lines travel
too fast to see
exactly what's happening. The best way to analyse a
machine fault is to film the area in question, and play it
back in slow motion.
For fault finding on high speed
production lines,
our most popular camera is the TroubleShooter,
offering very rapid set up and instant playback on the
built in screen. The monochrome 500 model is perfect
for the majority of line speeds.
For a complete system including
- batteries & charger
- CF card & reader
- lighting and supports
- lens
- shipping case
- software
the full system comes to typically
under ...
£8000+VAT
