  • Two questions ...

There are two questions we get asked all the time...

    1. The TroubleShooter running from batteries is all very well, but we still need power for the lights. What about battery powered lights?
    2. Motion Analysis software packages. They seem to be either specific to one particular application and expensive, or 'jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none' and affordable. We want a sophisticated package at an affordable price!

Strictly speaking the second of these is not a question, but we can now answer both.

For portable image capture, the PAGlight HMI uses very little power allowing it to be run from batteries, dispite having a high enough intensity for most moderately close imaging.

For motion analysis, ProAnalyst is packed with features, some of which have never been seen before.

PAG Light "Battery powered HMI light"

For the ultimate in portability, the TroubleShooter camera is chosen by many. Outdoor applications utlilise daylight, but what about indoors when a power source is not available. Battery powered light have traditionally been either too dim for high speed imaging or only last a few minutes on the battery pack.

The PAG Light utilises HMI technology, which is far more efficient than tungsten, so the intensity of light is far higher, and far less heat is produced. The light is typically powered by a battery pack that clips to your belt.

The light generated by the PAG Light is ideal for colour imaging as the colour temperature is that of daylight. The heat output is low too, so its also ideal for heat sensitive subjects. Larger HMI lights are also available for lighting large areas, or for faster framing rates where higher intensity light is required.

Lake Image Systems sell the PAG Light as an outfit, containing

    1. Lamp head with HMI tube
    2. 2x high power batteries
    3. Battery charger
    4. Belt clip for battery
    5. Camera bracket

    ProAnalyst Motion Analysis Software

The ideal software for engineers and scientists who need to extract, analyse and report motion from video

ProAnalyst is a full-featured auto-tracking software, capable of both 2-D and 1-D (line) tracking. ProAnalyst allows analysis of AVI movies or sequences of BMPs, JPGs etc. together with data captured from any source.

    • No need for special tracking markers.
    • Over 30 different analysis tools - line tracking, feature tracking, stick figure drawing, stabilisation, and more.
    • New rotating feature and predictive tracking algorithms.

ProAnalyst Professional Edition contains over 40 tools for video processing, tracking, analysing, graphing and reporting. Included are 1-D line, radial, 2-D, correlation, stabilisation, blob, contour, and particle tracking toolkits. Report Generator (HTML and PowerPoint), timeline visualisation, and more.

Don't just take our word for it. Download a demonstration copy, using the promotional code LIS0511N. The demonstration copy, which lasts 30 days, allows all functions to be tried.

    New Camera LaunchMotionPro-HS3

The MotionPro HS-3 has a new sensor, exclusive to RedLake with a resolution of 1.3 megapixels. The full 1280x1024 pixels is available for framing rates up to over 1000 frames per second.

Higher sensitivity and higher image clarity, as well as speed, are the benefits over the previous 1.3Mp sensor used in previous MotionPro's.

The MotionPro HS-3 offers control by PC or MAC via a USB2.0 interface, and compatibility with LABview and MATLAB.
