Good Morning. The PPMA Show is for all
interested in Processing and
Packaging Machinery. We will be showing a range of
cameras designed to maximise the productivity and
reduce wastage of all production lines.
| What are we showing there? |
 |
Lake Image Systems will be
showing the whole Troubleshooter range. See us at Stand 9040.
Every camera includes
- Built in Batteries
- Built in Compact Flash Slot
- Built in Colour Screen
- Incorporated USB2.0 Interface
This makes them totally independant of the PC.
However, it can be controlled from a laptop or
desktop if required, via the USB2.0 port. There are 3
basic models: TroubleShooter -
Positionable Screen, Lightweight,
Affordable. TroubleShooter RS - Splash
Resistant, Rolled Steel Casing, for harsh
environments. Ranger - Weather
Resistant, 18-gauge Steel Casing, for very harsh
environments.
High Speed Cameras are now commonly used in the
factory environment, but have until recently been
rather bulky, meaning that the system is a bit slow
to set up. This has all changed with the
TroubleShooter, which is the first high speed camera
truly meeting all the demands for production line
troubleshooting.
Each of the 3 models is available in 4 speed variants,
framing
up to 250, 500, 1000 or 16,000 frames per second
respectively, in
either colour or monochrome.

| TroubleShooter RS "A Splashproof TroubleShooter" |
 |
For more demanding factory environments, including
canning and bottling lines, the TroubleShooter RS
gives you the confidence to film in areas where you
wouldn't trust a conventional camera.
TroubleShooter RS is splashproof, making it
particularly suitable where there is a chance of the
equipment being covered in beer.... perfume.... oil....
baked beans....
TroubleShooter RS still incorporates the
facilities
unique to the rest of the TroubleShooter range, and
is available in all 4 speed variants.

| How Can I Justify Purchase ?? |
 |
In a factory environment, budgets are strict, and
margins are tight.
We realise that purchasing a piece of capital
equipment isn't always easy.
At a major can manufacturing plant, a new
decorator, the
printing press that "paints" logos and designs on
cans, wasn’t operating
properly. It’s supposed to handle 1,200 cans per
minute, but it wouldn’t
process more than 800 units without jamming. Even
worse, it destroyed
the new cans that were caught in the feeding
mechanism - at a cost
of four cents per can.
By using high-speed video
analysis, company
engineers were able to diagnose and correct the
mechanical defects
that were affecting the decorator's performance.
After just one day
of studying the decorator's operation with the high-
speed video camera,
engineers had the decorator operating smoothly at a
throughput rate
of 1,000 cans per minute. Shortly
thereafter, the
decorator was brought
up to its full rated throughput rate of 1,200 cans
per
minute.
Show this example and others to your production
manager, and the question will be how can we
justify
NOT purchasing a high speed video?
Especially as
prices now start from alot less than you may be
imagining!
If further justification or
proof is
required - why not rent a camera for a day?

The PPMA Show 2005. Should I go? |
|
|
|
The Complete Production Line
Exhibition.
27th - 29th September 2005 at
the N.E.C.
Birmingham. Come and see us at Stand No.
9040 Entry is FREE.
The show is ideal for
processing,
production and packaging personnel from drinks,
food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, chemicals or any
combination of these or other industries.
This year’s PPMA Show will also include a Research
Village
which will showcase twelve research projects. These
research projects cover the fields of packaging
machinery, processing equipment and information
technology. More on the
