Newer car designs (with curtain airbags) make the traditional through-the-window camera setting impossible; the camera recording the driver dummy its airbag has to be installed inside the car. But also less specific applications ask for a camera with the shallowest deep to allow the camera to be installed as close as possible to the object of interest.
